  1. Great page, though i think her first film was actually ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream’ with James Cagney. Have you got the book ‘ the films of Olivia de Havilland’? it says it in there.

  2. Hey Sam,

    Great question!

Yes, it says so in there but I did it in order of release date and according to the AFI Catalog as well as IMDB and the UCLA Archives, “A Midsummer Nights Dream” was released on October 30, 1935 while “Alibi Ike” was released four months prior on June 15, 1935.

    Love and Light,

    Carla

  3. Oh right, I suppose aswell in the book it doesnt say the months it came out just the year!

Thanks for repling to my question!

    Sam

  4. You are both right in a way. Olivia’s first movie she made was Midsummer’s Night Dream but i was not release until after Alibi Ike.

  5. Hello. I am a BIG fan of Olivia de Havilland, and I was wondering if she was actually going to be in 1-59 South because her name is no longer listed in it on IMDB. Is IMDB screwing up, or is she no longer in the cast?

  6. Thank you Viola for bringing that to our attention. There has been no official statement made by her regarding this issue but I will try to contact someone to find out more about this. I hope it’s not true because I was really looking forward to seeing her back on the screen. Any one else know?

  7. I think I-59 is not being made because last time i looked it wasnt at all on IMDB and Luke Flynn has no longer got it on his IMDB page.

By the way im looking forward to Olivia’s autobiography coming out on May 4th, CANT WAIT!!!
